Sugar House: Volume 5 (home again)

$19.00

The fifth volume of the Sugar House zine, Home Again, includes thirteen seasonally-inspired, heavy rotation recipes for the whole year round gathered from recipe cards and scrap paper notes and kitchen experiments from the most recent season of my life. You’ll find easy morning snacking cakes, a sturdy sourdough bread, my very favorite cookies ever, and a Vermont-farmer’s-market-award-winning apple pie. Kitchen anecdotes, a soup to warm you up, and pastries to share.

Inspired by vintage community cookbooks, included are full-page illustrations by Emily Halbardier, printed on a risograph with vibrant blue ink in Houston by The Center for Imaginative Cartography and Research. The covers are made from heavy-weight parsley green stock and printed by hand on an antique letterpress at my home in Vermont in indigo blue ink. Each book is sewn by hand with naturally dyed and undyed cotton sashiko thread.

These books are a labor of handmade and home-baked love, and I’m so pleased to offer a new volume to you!
