The first of September, labor day weekend, the sun setting surely on summer.
We'll have a heat wave next week or the one after, temperatures above eighty one last time before they steadily sink. September always brings that one last hot and sticky strike to make sure you're good and ready for autumn when she arrives. And then it's the good time, the best time, the leaves-falling, cinnamon-smelling, hunker down and come on in, pumpkin pie fall time. I can hardly wait.
For now, a playlist to accompany this last stretch, mostly old folk songs with some new ones and a dash of my two favorite Pauls becuase I just can't not. It's here on YouTube which is hard because of the ads, but as some of the folk songs aren't accessible on places like Spotify, the best I could do. I hope you enjoy.
And from last year, in case you could use a recipe for Sunday morning, a little something to make as summer fades away.
